First Annual Solar Photoconversion Cost Modeling Workshop – February 24th, 2012 (Golden, CO): This event was co-organized by CRSP and NREL’s Strategic Energy Analysis Center. The intent of workshop was to help the CRSP community orient research and development activities toward gating issues and ensure that the scientific possibilities are considered within the realities of the rapidly evolving PV and energy storage industries. With a recognition that revolutionary technologies are still needed, the focus of this workshop was on the identification of the important cost, reliability and efficiency issues that will enable solar PV and storage to be deployed at the terawatt scale. The CRSP Community includes current and prospective member companies, CRSP investigators, participating research institutions, prospective affiliate research institutions, research centers with which CRSP has a strategic relationship, and sponsors.
CRSP member companies, solar researchers from the CRSP research institutions, and other leaders from the solar PV/fuels research community are meeting in Golden, Colorado, on September 11–13 for the CRSP annual meeting. The meeting will include presentations by researchers seeking funding from the fourth annual CRSP shared research program, which has awarded Colorado researchers approximately $2.5 million during the past three years.
CRSP sponsors a monthly seminar series that focuses on solar energy research topics. For 2010-2011, the seminars are held at CU Boulder on the second Thursday of the month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The series features eight speakers, all leaders in their fields, with four from either CU Boulder or NREL and four from other institutions.
