We were proud to report that the economic impact of Collaboratory operations and research funding in the state of Colorado has resulted in an impressive return on the state’s investment. Simply put, between 2008 and 2015, the Collaboratory investment of almost $8 million was leveraged to attract more than $96 million in externally sponsored research, with an associated impact on the local economy of almost $194 million. In more specific detail, the total economic impact of $193.9 million on Colorado constitutes a return of 24:1 on the state’s original $7.96 million investment.
